As reviews for services go, I don't think one can be more meaningful than one for a life. Honestly, if your reading this, I wish you luck on this very difficult process. No matter what anyone says, the IVF journey is different for everyone. Expect an emotional roller coaster. We were very fortunate to be successful on our first attempt with Dr. Bayrak. But we did have two unsuccessful experiences with two other clinics before seeing Dr. Bayrak. We also had two further unsuccessful attempts with him, but are fortunate to be successful in the most recent attempt. I would say that compared to others, I think he's seen more varying cases and can advise better based on that fact alone. I would also say that we as a couple were pretty typical, if not younger than most people using IVF. We noticed with other doctors that they seemed to cater to a certain demographics or income levels. I think Dr. Bayrak and his team were very welcoming to our needs. I can't say enough about him and his staff taking enough time to discuss with us even the most basic of things in room knowing there are other patients waiting. But you have to be realistic, and this is simple chemistry and biology that is being manipulated to form a life, and that one specific doctor may not do something vastly different than another to get a result. Everyone has to go through some pain to get the result. But, in the end the result is absolutely, positively, worth it.

We are beyond grateful to Dr. Aykut Bayrak and the entire team at LA IVF for helping us achieve our dream of becoming parents. From day one, Dr. Bayrak was a straight shooter—blunt, honest, and incredibly clear about every step of the process. That kind of transparency was exactly what we needed, and we truly appreciated it. There was no sugarcoating, just facts, thoughtful guidance, and an unwavering commitment to doing what was best for our outcome. That approach gave us confidence and trust, and it made navigating the ups and downs of IVF so much easier. We were incredibly fortunate that our very first FET resulted in a successful pregnancy, and we are now holding our healthy, beautiful baby girl thanks to Dr. Bayrak’s expertise and care. The clinic staff was also exceptional—always responsive, compassionate, and organized. We never felt alone in the process and always knew what to expect. Dr. Bayrak is not just an expert in their field—they’re a fierce advocate for their patients and deeply committed to results. We can’t thank them enough for helping make our family a reality.

Overall, I didn't get the results I was hoping for. My first egg retrieval resulted in just one egg, which didn’t make it to the embryo stage. This was devastating, especially since I was told during my prior appointment to expect around 6–8 eggs. My second egg retrieval took place in the following cycle with the same outcome, despite a slight change in the protocol. With my estradiol levels plummeting and remaining low, I was not comfortable undergoing another egg retrieval only to end up with one egg again. At this point, I decided to consult another doctor for a second opinion. It was confirmed that, had I proceeded with the retrieval, it would have likely resulted in only 1–2 eggs. For additional context, I do not have diminished ovarian reserve and, in fact, have PCOS. Typically, PCOS is associated with a higher egg count, but the challenge lies in egg quality rather than quantity. (I was able to get 34 eggs in a third egg retrieval with another doctor without any issue or ovarian hyperstimulation syndrome [OHSS]). I’ve included a summary of the detailed pros and cons of my experience at this clinic to help others to navigate this process. Pros: No wait time; appointments are generally on time. You are never rushed out the door and can ask as many questions as you would like to Dr. Bayrak. The clinic manages the egg retrieval, cryopreservation, and many other steps of the process on-site, which makes the IVF process more convenient compared to visiting multiple locations for each step. They accept most insurances as well as WinFertility. Cons: There is a lack of transparency regarding costs. My out-of-pocket expenses changed and increased after the first egg retrieval. For the second retrieval, costs went up by $250 without prior notice, and I was only informed at the time of payment. The explanation given was simply, "We increased our prices," despite the increase occurring within just one month after the first egg retrieval. There is no accountability when things go wrong, and receiving straightforward answers about unfavorable outcomes is challenging. For instance, in my case, the wrong tube was used for a blood draw, which caused the lab to be unable to perform the correct test. The blood had to be drawn again, but the second sample was lost. Finally, on the third attempt, I was able to get my results, with no explanation offered for why these mistakes occurred. During one appointment to start my cycle, I was informed afterward that I couldn’t begin for another three weeks due to the office's batching process. When I pressed for an explanation, I was eventually told it was due to batching and an upcoming holiday. This information could have been communicated upfront. The clinic seems focused on retaining as much of your money as possible. If you decide to end your treatment, due to results of a current cycle, as I did, be prepared to follow up for months to receive a refund for services not rendered. In my case, the out-of-pocket costs included ICSI, embryology lab fees, PGT testing, and cryopreservation/storage fees. However, just before processing my refund, I was informed of a previously undisclosed "cancellation/coordination fee" of $4,000. After numerous follow-ups, this amount was reduced to $1,000, but I still received no clear explanation of what the fee covered or when it had been disclosed to me. Despite my efforts, the clinic has refused to refund this fee and has stopped responding to my communications regarding the matter. My bloodwork went missing multiple times, requiring repeated blood draws, which were more painful than any other blood draws I’ve experienced during the IVF process. The office often failed to call with results as promised, requiring you to follow up constantly to obtain the information. Lastly, there is no parking validation, so you will spend at least $10–$15 for parking at each appointment. Based on my experience I would not recommend this clinic. I hope this information is helpful to at least one person out there.

About a couple of years ago, Dr. Bayrak said I couldn't get pregnant naturally and needed IVF. After two failed IVF cycles with this clinic, I was able to get pregnant naturally. The staff here are very rude and talk about the patients behind their back. They just want money and don't care about you at all.

We’re pregnant! What a roller coaster! Dr. Bayrak and his entire team have been wonderful throughout this long, difficult and anxious process. Dr. Bayrak is very attentive and always makes sure all questions are answered. We got pregnant with our first transfer and quite honestly I’m still in disbelief and Dr. Bayrak and his team showed as much excitement as my husband and I did. This was definitely a team effort and now we wait patiently til due date. Thank you LA IVF CLINIC!
