I cannot stress enough how happy I am to have switched to Kofinas after spending too much time, money, and energy elsewhere. They immediately made me feel hopeful and curated a personalized plan based on my history. I love everyone there from the kind front desk staff, the helpful nurses, to the incredibly knowledgeable doctors that helped me get pregnant after trying in other places for so long! I am beyond thankful to everyone at Kofinas and would enthusiastically recommend them to anyone trying to bring their infertility journey to an end!

After trying at another clinic for a year, I just started with Kofinas. So far so good! Dr.Narine in Long Island is very patient and knowledgeable and professional. And the Broadway office could not be more welcoming and kind. Thank you to Searra, Rebecca, Amanda and the nurse thatโs from DC. Your genuine compassion, clarity, relatability and sense of humor is really appreciated and made me feel so good. As a patient we actually feel valued, thank you again.

Dr. Narine and Dr. Kofinas completely botched my FET cycle. At the outset, this clinic had difficulty accessing my cervix and when I repeatedly asked Dr. Narine to dilate before my FET to avoid this, she flatly ignored my requests and dismissed me. Instead, she made me pay for 4 completely unnecessary PRP treatments (for which I paid 450 dollars eachโalso which is not supported by science by the way) instead of focusing on the obvious issue at hand. I woke up from my FET to learn that Dr. Kofinas had cancelled my cycle since he wasnโt able to access it, as I had already predicted would happen. This was heartbreaking for me because I spent thousands and they wasted my time, money, my tries with my insurance and a whole year of my life. The botched FET was absolutely an error on their part because they simply refused to listen to the patient. When I told Dr. Narine that she was already aware of this and couldโve addressed this before my FET her only response was โpoint well taken.โ This clinic put me in the position of having to move my last embryo to another facility simply because of the doctorโs negligent handling of my care. Dr. Narine called me up after my cancelled cycle and her solution was: โI will show Dr. Kofinas how to do the transfer during another mock transfer.โ The fact that a younger doctor has to show a more experienced doctor how to do his job is simply jarring and unacceptable. There were many other issues like understimulating me during my stims so that I only had two embroys to even try with, while other clinics stimulate at a much higher level. This clinic also lost my husbandโs blood sample and made him come back in to redo his bloodwork for his genetic testing and did not even apologize. They make everyone go through a completely unnecessary mock cycle only to waste your time and money and push back your FET. I also requested my records and found out that Dr. Narine wrote in her notes that she advised me on a number of things, including discussing metformin and the risks of IVF, when she never actually did. Also, one of the nurses, I donโt remember her name, also became very hostile with me when I simply asked another nurse what else I could do to supplement my regimen. Rather than being a kind, caring nurse, she was gaslighting me and angrily telling me that whatever I do will stress me out meanwhile she was standing there literally stressing me out. The front desk women also have an extraordinary attitude problem. I really donโt understand how these people are even in business when they have employed people at the front desk who essentially roll their eyes at you to your face. I also found out that this clinic has Dr. Kofinas do ALL the transfers meanwhile the doctor handling your entire cycle will not do the actual transfer. This is why Dr. Kofinas did not know my history, nor bother to address my cervix issue, meanwhile a doctor at another clinic was able to overcome it. My last point is that this clinic will overcharge you and make you go through a host of unnecessary procedures only to botch the entire process on their own anyway. This clinic has treated me like Iโm an ATM machine and not a patientโฆwhen patients like me are in an extremely vulnerable position with these clinics and the journey is an extremely sensitive, personal, and a high stakes one for us. Rather than understanding that, they treat you like youโre a talking wallet and nothing else. I should not have to be writing this review at all. I should be holding my first born child right now, but they essentially robbed me of this hope by taking advantage of me as a patient.

I am sharing my personal experience so other patientsโespecially those who are pregnant or undergoing fertility treatmentโcan make an informed decision. This surgery center is directly affiliated with Kofinas and serves as their private clinic for surgical procedures. During my care, I found the billing practices at this center to be aggressive and extremely distressing. I was a fertility patient at Kofinas and, although I had been preparing for IVF, I became pregnant naturally. While pregnant, I was repeatedly contacted regarding payment timelines in a way that felt pressuring and intimidating rather than compassionate or patient-centered. The situation escalated to legal correspondence over payment timing, which caused me significant emotional distress during an already vulnerable period of my life. Being contacted by an attorney while pregnant, instead of having a humane and respectful conversation, was deeply upsetting. The communication felt focused solely on money, with threats of legal action rather than any effort to resolve the matter with understanding or flexibility. What was most disappointing was the complete lack of empathy. At no point did I feel treated as a patient whose health and emotional wellbeing mattered. Instead, I felt reduced to a financial obligation rather than a person receiving medical care. REGARDING the actual care & treatment received, Kofinas Fertility operates very much like an IVF-driven clinic. After three IUI attempts, the conversation immediately shifted toward IVF, with little discussion of deeper root-cause investigation or alternative paths. I often felt that IVF was the default recommendation rather than one option among many. One of my biggest concerns was that I had to advocate strongly for myself to get specific diagnostic testing done. After pushing for additional labs, I learned that I had borderline hypothyroidismโsomething that should be carefully evaluated early on in fertility care. This was not proactively identified, and I only became aware of it after insisting on further testing. Additionally, after doing the lap procedure, it took me over a year to get pregnant. While the doctors are knowledgeable, the overall experience left me feeling like I had to constantly push, question, and protect myself as a patientโmedically and financially. Fertility patients deserve transparency, individualized care, and respect, not pressure or confusion. I strongly encourage prospective patients to: Ask very specific questions about testing before treatment begins Get everything in writing regarding billing Consider seeking a second opinion to ensure all underlying issues are addressed. Bottom line, I was able to get pregnant naturally which I believe my own self help remedies with lifestyle and holistic resources helped me alot. I needed surgery for endometriosis which I did have, but if you have no physical setbacks, I highly recommend seeing a naturopathic doctor first. Donโt allow them to play on your emotions!
