Had my first appointment at the Center for Reproductive Medicine with Dr. Hopeman and it was such a great experience. If you’re looking for a compassionate fertility doctor or fertility clinic, I highly recommend them. The entire staff was so welcoming and kind from the moment I walked in. Dr. Hopeman made me feel truly heard and seen when talking about my fertility journey and trying to conceive. I especially appreciated that she never made me feel crazy for wanting to start exploring fertility testing early. She explained everything clearly, opened my eyes to things I hadn’t thought about before, and made the whole process feel much less overwhelming. I left feeling reassured, supported, and grateful to have found such an amazing reproductive medicine specialist.

Dr. Josh Kapfhamer is such an amazing doctor who truly listens and cares about his patients. I was pretty nervous with a procedure and he was so gentle and reassured me I can do this and was so positive. He’s also just extremely friendly and talks to you like just another person - doesn’t just make you feel like just a patient which I truly appreciate. I’d recommend him to anyone.

I don’t usually write reviews, but after three years with CRM I feel compelled to share our experience to help other families. My husband and I began treatment at CRM in 2022, entering IVF with little guidance and a lot of trust. Over time, we spent a significant amount of money. After one egg retrieval and six failed transfers, I noticed a small sign in the waiting room advertising a third-party funding program that would have covered multiple retrievals and unlimited transfers for a flat fee with a refund if no live birth occurred. This option was never proactively discussed and would have saved us a substantial amount of money. Communication—particularly with financial services—was consistently challenging. I experienced rudeness, unreturned calls, and conflicting information regarding insurance coverage. When I requested routine lab orders be sent to my primary care clinic instead of driving to Minneapolis, I was met with resistance and dismissiveness. Clinical communication was also frustrating. I frequently had to remind staff about medications I could not take or how my body previously responded to treatment. Despite these issues, we were blessed with our daughter in April of 2024, and I will always be grateful to CRM for helping us build our family. In 2025, when attempting another transfer, multiple voicemails mistakenly referenced pregnancy complications when I was not pregnant. Later, we received unexpected bills for services we were told would be covered, and again encountered dismissive interactions when asking for clarification or short-term payment arrangements. After three years, we have decided to pay our balance and seek care elsewhere. While we are thankful for our outcome, I strongly encourage patients to advocate for themselves, thoroughly research all financial options, and ensure they feel supported by their entire care team. As a nurse, I expected the level of compassion and communication I strive to give patients during vulnerable times. Infertility is emotionally, physically, and financially exhausting, and support matters.

All the staff we worked with were very friendly, welcoming, and answered all our questions— communication around scheduling the appointment and next steps was efficient, and we're looking forward to working with the team more as we pursue pregnancy!
