This place is absolutely horrible. Dealing with all of their staff has been nothing but a nightmare. They moved my embryos without telling me. If you still have your embryos at this lab, get them out ASAP

Coordinating with this team has been one of the most distressing experiences I’ve ever had, made worse by the complete lack of professionalism, empathy, and basic human decency. From the very beginning, I was met with condescension, disregard, and outright hostility. Communication was not just difficult—it was dehumanizing. My questions were brushed off, my concerns ignored, and even the simplest clarifications were met with raised voices and impatience. No one should ever be subjected to this kind of treatment, especially when dealing with something so sensitive. I’m relieved to be done with this place. Farewell—and good riddance.

The best decision my husband and I made was moving our embryos OUT of this lab. The people who work here absolutely do not care about you, your eggs, or your embryos. They treat storing your most precious possessions as if they were simply storing an article of clothing. Good luck getting anyone on the phone to speak with—if you do, they will not be able to answer simple questions. I’ve had more unreturned emails from this lab than any fertility practice I’ve worked with. They know they have a monopoly on storage in the Chicago area, so they really don’t need to be caring or polite. When trying to work with the employees at aParent, I’ve never felt less like a person. I know they truly did not care about me, my eggs, or my embryos. I was just a number on a file to them.

Warning dealing with this company. We now have to give up our potential child. Please don't let them do this to you. They admitted negligence in billing, made promises to fix it and took it back 2 months later. I wouldn't trust them to transfer the embryo properly after this. It's absolutely heart breaking. Carmela should not be handling billing. The level of incompetence is startling. On top of that, the deceitful ways she promised to help out due to THEIR billing negligence and then to take it back and act like as if she never said it. If you have to deal with this place get EVERYTHING in writing. There is no trust, honesty or integrity here. I have been willing to pay but not for their mistakes.
