We are incredibly grateful to Dr. Brahma and her wonderful team at Shady Grove. With their guidance, expertise, and support, we were blessed with two amazing babies who have completed our family. From the very beginning, everyone we encountered was compassionate, patient, and truly invested in our journey. They made what can be an overwhelming process feel supported and hopeful every step of the way. We cannot say enough positive things about our experience and will always be thankful for the care we received.

Dr. Katler presents as caring — until accountability is required. I began treatment at Shady Grove in 2024 after being told I had “plenty of time” and qualified for the shared-risk program. That representation influenced my decision to proceed. After the loss of my full-term child at 37 weeks, I returned within a month to continue IVF planning. Over the following months, I experienced shifting requirements and delayed disclosure of eligibility limits. After approximately seven months, I was informed I no longer qualified for shared-risk due to an AMH cutoff and an age restriction under 41 — criteria not clearly disclosed when I began treatment, despite the fact that I am under 41. The most serious concerns arose after I formally withdrew from care. On 2/12 at 3 PM, Dr. Katler called regarding a negative review I left the day I discontinued treatment. He described a revised fertility plan and stated he had a proposal for my husband and me. The discussion then shifted to how the review affected him personally. He stated it would take him a long time to recover and that no one had ever “done this to him.” He requested that I remove the review. I deleted it after he indicated he would follow up with treatment planning. I agreed to hear him out but made clear I had already secured another physician. On 2/13 at 3:22 PM, after I had left the practice and while my husband was in the hospital, Dr. Katler called again. The call centered on his reaction to the review rather than my treatment. I reiterated that I was not comfortable continuing care with him and had found another physician. He then stated he was too emotional to remain objective and could not continue as my doctor. The call lasted over twenty minutes and focused on his feelings about the now deleted review. I reminded him that he was the physician and I was the patient and suggested he seek appropriate support rather than continue discussing his emotional distress with me. I ended the call and returned to the hospital, where he knew my husband was. A physician contacting a former patient to discuss personal distress about a review, requesting its removal in proximity to treatment discussion, and acknowledging inability to remain objective reflects serious lapses in professional boundaries and judgment. I have reported this matter to Shady Grove administration and to the Georgia Composite Medical Board. Patients deserve physicians who maintain objectivity, composure, and clear separation between personal reputation and patient care.

My husband and I had a wonderful experience at SGF. I would recommend them to anyone! Dr. Katler and his team were amazing! As we started our fertility journey, we knew that we needed a doctor who was knowledgable, trustworthy, and compassionate and that's exactly what we found. The nurses I had were always responsive and encouraging. I could tell that they genuinely cared about me and my experiences. Everyone at the Lake Hearn and Marietta office always made each visit a little bit easier when going in for monitoring appointments. No matter what happened along our journey, the team was there with us every step of the way. Because of SGF, we are now expecting our double-rainbow baby and we couldn't be more excited! If I could give more than 5-stars, I would!

The best best best best experience! If I could give SG a 100 star review I would. Prior to coming to shady grove, I was in the worst hands possible with previous OBS not taking my conditions seriously, brushing everything off. By the time me and my husband were referred to shady grove, we had been TTC for 2 1/2 years. Already feeling alone, nervous, hard to accept, shady grove community made us feel like we were at home! When I tell you, there isn’t one bad person in that office I truly mean it. From the check in ladies (my 3 besties) , to bloodwork (Sharon your my girl) ultrasound techs (love all of them) you almost start looking forward to all your appts because you get to go see the best people on earth! The procedure side was amazing too on the day of egg retrieval! Followed by the amazing everyday staff at Lake Hearn, I was in the best hands of Dr Katler, and his nurse Racheal. Words truly can’t describe how amazing they are! Both of them told me they would fight over to see who would call me first to give me all my good news. Lol both always ended up calling me. They’re the sweetest team ever and work so well together! Racheal never went more than an hour without responding to all my 99 questions, not to mention, we started our journey around Thanksgiving, Christmas AND January snow day so already a crazy time! She has the sweetest most outgoing voice and is always so excited to talk to you! Dr Katler was so great too, he was confident and did the right protocols for everything and made us not stress so much. I also have to give a huge shoutout to Nurse Katie who took over for Racheal while she was out of office. I had one minor scare during early pregnancy and she called me 3 times in the matter of 10 min and got me in the next appt asap. I also have to give a huge shoutout to Dr Kanter for doing an ultrasound last minute during a blood scare and reassuring everything was okay and was so calm and patient with me when I felt like there was no hope. I could go on for days and days of how great our experience was. I’ve had many people reach out and my first words are always Shady Grove. Although, you don’t ever dream to grow up and have to go down this path but if you do, Shady Grove is here to make your dreams of having a family come true while being your biggest cheerleaders throughout the whole process. I cannot recommend them MORE. LOVE LOVE LOVE Shady Grove Sandy Springs and cannot wait to bring my babies back to meet them!! Zach & Emily Wheeler

Shady Grove was recommended to me by several colleagues during a support group for women experiencing infertility, and I truly believe I was in the right place at exactly the right time. From the very beginning, Shady Grove became a bright light in what can often feel like an overwhelming and uncertain journey. From our first appointment to our graduation day, every single person we encountered made a meaningful and positive impact. The compassion, professionalism, and genuine care shown by the entire team never went unnoticed. When dealing with something as emotionally and physically fragile as fertility, even one negative experience can feel devastating but at Shady Grove, we were consistently met with reassurance, empathy, and unwavering support. Because of the dedication of this team, we felt encouraged to keep going even on the hardest days. I will be forever grateful to Dr. Katler, Julia, and the entire Sandy Springs staff for walking alongside us with such kindness and expertise.
