I learned the hard way that NYU wasn’t the right fit for me. Monitoring appointments always took over an hour, even at 6:30 AM. I’ve waited there an hour and half many times. Other clinics you’re in and out with 40 mins. If you move on to IVF, They strongly push PGT testing on everyone. It wouldn’t have made sense with my extremely low AMH. They basically force ppl to PGT test. During my 5 IUI cycles, my doctor only prescribed letrozole without exploring other medicines to stimulate more than one dominant follicle. So for 5 IuIs I only had 1 dominant follicle. This was counterproductive as I already ovulate on my own. I didn’t even know injectables were an option until I switched clinics. Also the timing of their IUI was off because most clinics do 36 hours after trigger, but NYu does 24 hours. This is important because prepped sperm for IUI only has a life span of 24 hours. I would visit an Acupuncturist who over time confided that she hears the worst from her patients about nyu. She even had a patient she knew that NyU allegedly dropped their embryos!! After hearing that I explored other clinics. Most concerning, they missed my endometritis on in an early biopsy. I had two chemical pregnancies prior to starting at NYU. Which was likely caused by my endometritis. I went on to do five failed IUIs and was never told or treated for the endometritis. After switching clinics, my second doctor caught the diagnosis. I was treated with two weeks of antibiotics and conceived naturally a few months laterr with a successful pregnancy. Stay away!

We went to NYU after not having the best consultation with RMA. Made an appointment with Dr. Fritz as he had great reviews. Liked him right away as he didn’t pressure us into IVF or PGTA at first consultation. Gave us our options and ran several fertility tests to determine diagnosis. In the end my fertility age was causing recurring miscarriages and we decided on IVF. The front desk was always pleasant and I absolutely loved all the nurses! The OR nurses are particularly supportive during retrievals and transfers. Dr. Kuokkanen did my retrieval and Dr Goudas did transfer. The day of our transfer everyone was so supportive wishing us well. Our first cycle and transfer was a success and our daughter is 3 weeks old! IVF is a long process and we had a few setbacks but Dr Fritz and nurses always returned calls quickly and stayed positive. Fertility clinics are like a factory but you can’t let that bother you. It took me a minute to let go and trust the process.

I was disappointed with my experience at this department. I was not aware that they do not schedule appointments directly. Instead, you must leave a note, and they will only attempt to call you once. If you miss that call, you have to restart the process, which is inconvenient and inefficient. Additionally, I found the reception staff to be unprofessional and unhelpful. Overall, it felt like a waste of time and energy, and I regret not choosing another clinic.

One of the worst experiences I ever had at a doctor’s office. Thank goodness my primary doctor there is lovely. But over the last few years I encountered some very cold and off-putting staff members. Their attitude alone will make you want to give up. This is why I appreciate there that are very kind. In addition there is no direct line of communication to the office. All call go through an answering service.

This is the place to be if you are seeking fertility treatment! This facility was recommended by my Gyn and I’m so glad they did! First, I met Dr. Sung and she gave me all the hard truths about conceiving at my age in a loving, matter-of-fact manner that I so appreciate! I proceeded with a battery of testing and scans that helped me learn so much about my reproductive health. Most of my check-up appointments were early in the morning before work and when I tell you this office is efficient—that’s it!! They have you checked in, tested and blood drawn all in less than an hour with time to spare for questions! Don’t think that this means they rush you—they’re just on top of their scheduling and staff placement. I’ve been able to ask the sonographer lots of questions about my ultrasound and scans, including what they are seeing & what I should be feeling. I always bring a magazine or something to keep me occupied, but thankfully—I never get through it! Considering that this is an exciting and nerve wracking process for most people, I’m so happy that I came to RSof NY and so is my colleague who had her eggs frozen 2 years before I did. The staff is comforting, patient, available, thorough, and supportive. Even so, do your own research and be ready to ask questions about anything you may need or be wondering, and advocate for yourself when you go for your appointments. I had to ask about taking COQ10, and I needed a more explicit explanation of how to administer a particular medication, so they took their time with me. Just a tip: Wear a dress to your appointment when you can so you can quickly get ready to be seen. I’d say the only (non) issue here is to be prepared to give yourself an extra few minutes to drive through the annoying parking lot— that’s not their fault at all. Overall, I love being a patient at RSofNY and I'm sure you will too!
