I had the best care at Alabama Fertility. I am so thankful for Dr. Allemand and his team especially the girls at the Montgomery location. After two years of infertility and a round of IVF we are finally pregnant and I owe it all to them. The staff is so kind, understanding and make you feel so comfortable. The communication is quick and effective in the portal. I would definitely recommend this team to anyone going through fertility issues.

Love our doctor here, and we don’t mind commuting from Huntsville for procedures. I have one small recommendation: the men’s collection room needs a hook for hanging a coat/jacket. I had to put my jacket on the floor of this bathroom/collection room. The little things go a long way.

My husband and I went here about a year ago and we loved the nurses and doctor. Everyone was nice and they made me feel like they cared much more than my previous doctor. We didn’t have to get any kind of treatment, but they did monitor more (more ultrasounds than just the ones every few months like regular OBGYN). They also put me on thyroid medication which I probably needed for my first pregnancy and that wasn’t caught by my old doctor. We were sad when we β€œgraduated” and had to find a new regular OB! We recommend them. We now have the sweetest cutest baby boy.

I came to AFS because we had moved, and the doctor I wanted was a bit too far away; they recommended a specific doctor here. They also mentioned that they know the doctor but not the practice. They were right to say that; the practice is not worth anything other than outside monitoring. Here is an example list of several issues that have arisen in less than 6 months. I would give them a 1-star rating, but the front office staff was nice, and one of the techs who travels an hour to work was lovely (she is not bubbly, but just a gem). 1. Messed up a prescription that was needed for the protocol, but thank goodness for the pharmacist who helped us correct it, but it cost us money. 2. When they changed protocol, they refused to provide an ultrasound when I thought I ovulated early (I was willing to pay out of pocket because I knew it was last minute, but they said, "We do not do that here, just come in for the IUI"). Why waste a vial if something is not right? So, I called somewhere else, and they were more than happy to accommodate the request. 3. They had my insurance information for more than a year, but they did not obtain any preauthorization forms and attempted to bill me for two charges exceeding $1,600, despite my EOB saying it would be 100% covered with pre auth. Sure enough, the insurance company provided me with the documents to show that they were not being truthful. Once I called them out with further evidence, they backed off after months, and my balance was back to $0 (UNTIL...) 4. I had a consultation in 2022. This consultation was based on the printouts I had when I requested itemization in 2024 and 2025, and all were cleared with no issues. Now, all of a sudden, they are wanting nearly $200 and will not answer why they are charging me for something in 2022 when it showed I owed $0. They only responded that it was not finished by the insurance company until 2023 (nearly a year after the consultation, but all other insurance submissions were decided within a few months). It is 2025 now, and you are sending me the first bill for it? Why are you billing me when my balance has remained $0 until you had to eat the $ 1,600+ bill, despite not following protocol? 5. The doctor was late by 2 hours and sometimes longer to my appointments. I am not saying it was their fault more than their scheduling, but waiting 2 hours or more for a 10-minute chat is ridiculous. Oh, and springing on me that you need my husband's verbal approval without any warning, and you were over 2 hours late, he was not available. They said Oh, no problem, the doctor will call him back for it. The doctor did call him back for 2 minutes for a "yes" and they charged us around $145. I did not realize that and ended up paying whatever portion insurance did not cover. You were late and knew what the request was, and that was not explained or requested beforehand? Never has any doctor's office charged any amount for an administrative verbal approval call. 6. We had an IUI scheduled. We arrived early that morning, and they had no record of us. This is after they had already messed up the prescription, and the nurse was rude to both my husband and me. The doctor completely shrugged and said, 'Oh, they just messed up the date.' An IUI is time sensitive. My husband was livid when the doctor dismissed me, saying it was my hormones all over the place, when I told them the nurse was rude (which this was like the 8th time they had been rude until I brought it up). The thing is that I was bringing it up on behalf of my husband, who was not on hormones. I initially gave the nurse excuses to my husband, but I witnessed it myself. Additionally, the nurse was incorrect in their emails on multiple occasions, requiring my husband and me to correct them so we could receive the proper care. There are several other examples, but those are the main ones that come to mind. Go somewhere else, it's not worth the hassle. I have heard McLean is great, and that was not my doctor.
